University of Melbourne Holsworth Symposium presentation

On Wednesday March 12th, I was honoured to present my Masters research at a University of Melbourne symposium commemorating the philanthropy of Bill and Carol Holsworth.

My  project was funded by a very generous grant from the Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment, which since 1989 has funded hundreds of postgraduate research projects across Australia (for a more detailed history check out this article, in which I am quoted).

Unfortunately I didn’t have the foresight to arrange a HD video camera, but Jenny Martin helpfully recorded my presentation on her iPad. The picture quality isn’t ideal, but it should give you the gist of my research findings.

If you would like to know more about fairy-wrens, or animal personality, or vocal learning,  then be sure to drop me a line.
